Balangan delivered some serious power today. The waves were big, raw, and just a little intimidating. I felt fear in the pit of my stomach, but I paddled out anyway — because that’s what surfing is all about: facing yourself, pushing limits, and finding joy even in heavy conditions.
In the end, everything was safe, and the stoke was real. This is why we surf.
